Coupled positive and negative feedback circuits form an essential building block of cellular signaling pathways

Article Abstract:

The role of positive and negative feedback loops are explored to understand the complex regulatory mechanism of cellular signaling systems caused by feedback loops. The coupled feedback loops have enabled cellular systems to produce perfect responses to noisy stimuli with respect to signal duration and amplitude, suggesting that the coupled positive and negative feedback loops form essential signal transduction motifs in cellular signaling systems.

Cell-cycle-regulatory elements and the control of cell differentiation in the budding yeast

Article Abstract:

Research findings indicate that cell cycle regulation is an integral part of cell differentiation process as exemplified by budding yeast system. Results reveal that when differentiation is in response to an environmental queue, the cell cycle progression coordinates with differentiation. Furthermore, the interplay between cell cycle and differentiation is diverse.
