Article Abstract:
The effects of oral administration on the resistance of poultry commensal bacteria and the intestinal bacterial community structure are evaluated. The results imply that complex ecological and genetic factors contribute to the prevalence of antibiotic resistance arising from resistance gene transfer in the production environment.

Article Abstract:
The mutants in the lon and clpP genes of the food-borne human pathogen Campylobacter jejuni are constructed and is shown that the growth of both mutants is impaired at high temperature. The characterization of lon and clpPmutants has shown the altered phenotypes like reduced motility, less autoagglutination

Article Abstract:
The importance of a homologue of the periplasmic HtrA protease in Campylobacter jejuni (C. jejuni) stress tolerance is investigated. The results reveal that in C. jejuni, HtrA is important for growth during stressful conditions and has an impact on virulence.
