Folate receptor-alpha is a cofactor for cellular entry by Marburg and Ebola viruses

Article Abstract:

Research has been conducted on the human infections by Marburg and Ebola viruses. The identification of the cellular entry factors used by the viruses has been carried out via the noninfectible cells challenged with the selectable pseudotype virus packaged by the Marburg glycoproteins and the results are presented.

The human peroxisomal targeting signal receptor, Pex5p, is translated into the peroxisomal matrix and recycled to the cytosol

Article Abstract:

Research has been conducted on the peroxisomal targeting signals recognized by the cytosolic receptors Pex5p and Pex7p. Results indicate that human Pex5p participates in the entry into the peroxisome matrix and export to the cytosol independent of the peroxisomal targeting signal-2 import pathway.
