Functional overlap between Sgs1-Top3 and the Mms4-Mus81 endonuclease

Article Abstract:

Research has been conducted on the RecQ DNA helicases, yeast Sgs1 and human BLM which form a complex with topoisomerase 3. Results indicate that the Mms4-Mus81 endonuclease cleaves stalled replication fork and allows the continuation of the replication in the absence of Sgs1-topoisomerase 3 function.

Slx1-Slx4 is a second structure-specific endonuclease functionally redundant with Sgs1-Top3

Article Abstract:

Research has been conducted on rDNA replication. The authors report that SLX1-SLX4 genes, which are required for the completion of rDNA replication, encode a heteromeric structure-specific endonuclease, and that Slx1-Slx4 endonuclease cleaves replication forks which cannot be resolved by Sgs1-Top3.

A novel regulation mechanism of DNA repair damage-induced and RAD23-dependent stabilization of xeroderma pigmentosum group C protein

Article Abstract:

Research has been conducted on RAD23. The authors report that RAD23 participates in DNA repair, and describe the DNA-damage-dependent regulation mechanism of DNA repair in eukaryotes.
