Functional proteomics reveals the biochemical niche of C.elegans DCR-1 in multiple small-RNA-medicated pathways

Article Abstract:

A study was conducted to learn how C.elegans Dicer, DCR-1, functions in multiple distinct silencing mechanisms where a mass-spectrometry-based proteomics approach was used to identify DCR-1-interacting proteins. The findings provide a first glimpse at the complex biochemical nice of Dicer and suggests that competition exists between DCR-1-mediated small-RNA path-ways.

Genes and mechanisms related to RNA interference regulate expression of the small temporal RNAs that control C. elegans developmental timing

Article Abstract:

Research has been conducted on the gene silencing phenomenon RNAi which can be triggered by the double-stranded RNA. The inactivation of genes related to the RNAi pathway genes has been carried out and the heterochronic phenotypes produced by this inactivation have been examined and discussed.

A panoramic view of yeast noncoding RNA processing

Article Abstract:

Research has been conducted on yeast functional proteomics and genomics. The authors discuss the data revealing yeast noncoding RNA processing, and report that uncharacterized yeast proteins are involved in noncoding RNA biogenesis.
