Genomic survey of cAMP and cGMP signaling components in the cyanobacterium Synechocystis PCC 6803

Article Abstract:

Research has been conducted on cyanobacterium Synechocystis PCC 6803 signalling pathways cAMP and cGMP. The authors report the identification of cGMP and cAMP putative components performed via Synechocystis PCC 6803 complete genome sequence, and the study of the prokaryotic cyclic-nucleotide-gated channel protein.

Comparison of the proteome of Mycobacterium tuberculosis strain H37Rv with clinical isolate CDC 1551

Article Abstract:

Research has been conducted on Mycobacterium tuberculosis strain H37Rv and CDC 1551 genome sequence. The study of the strains' proteomes grown in liquid culture has been carried out in the effort to investigate the difference between the proteomes at protein level, and the resulrs are reported.

Calcium release from Synechocystis cells induced by depolarization of the plasma membrane: MscL as an outward Ca (super)2+ channel

Article Abstract:

Research has been conducted on Synechocystis sp. PCC 6803 cells with mechanosensitive ion channels MscL located in their plasma membrane. Results demonstrate that these cells can release Ca (super)2+ in depolarization response of the plasma membrane in the presence of K (super)+.
