Genomic targets of the human c-Myc protein

Article Abstract:

Research has been conducted on transcription factor Myc which regulates downstream cellular responses. The authors have investigated a large-scale sceen for genomic Myc-binding sites in human cells via the use of bioinformatics, and they report that there is high regulatory and biological diversity among Myc-target genes.

Ectopic expression of a Chlamydomonas mt+-specific homeodomain protein in mt-gametes initiates zygote development without gamete fusion

Article Abstract:

Research has bee conducted on the molecular mechanisms activating zygote gene expression after fertilization. The hypothesis that ectopic expression of the homeodomain protein GSP1 in the mating type minus gametes induces zygote-specific gene transcription has been tested and the results are reported.

Werner syndrome protein limits MYC-induced cellular senescence

Article Abstract:

Research has been conducted on MYC oncoproteins. The authors report that MYC overexpression leads to transcription stimulation of the human Werner syndrome gene.
