IL-4 acts as a myoblast recruitment factor during mammalian muscle growth

Article Abstract:

Research has been conducted on skeletal muscle formation and growth which requires myoblast fusion to form myofibers or myotubes. Results demonstrate that after myotube formation they recruit myoblast fusion via IL-4 secretion, which leads to muscle growth.
