Article Abstract:
The potential future research trends aimed at understanding the effect of changes in mechanical forces that occur in microgravity and other low-shear environments on different microbial parameters. The response of microbes to changes in mechanical and physical forces is analyzed that is proposed to provide insight into a key mechanism to orchestrate and fine-tune the cellular response to environmental stimuli.

Article Abstract:
The expression of the cloned Salmonella pathogenicity island 2 (SPI-2) system in different Gammaproteobacteria and Alphaproteobacteria dependent on the bacterial strain and growth medium is reported. This could offer a desired function to an engineered gram-negative strain.
