There is broader acceptance and increased use of index tracking funds in UK investments. Indexation can provide improved risk control and lower costs, and more often than not it contributes to better performance. An average UK equity unit linked pensions fund and average UK equity growth unit trust have produced returns of 25.57% and 26.33% respectively below the All Share Index return.
