Bell advances with new army copter

Article Abstract:

Bell Helicopter, a subsidiary of Textron Inc., landed a contract in July 2005 worth potentially up to $2.2 billion to provide the US Army with a fleet of 368 Army reconnaissance helicopters (ARH) aircraft, which Bell would deliver between fiscal 2006 and 2013. The ARH represents the spiral growth of Bell's OH-58D Kiowa Warrior that has logged in excess of one million military flight hours with the US Army.

OIF vets: Most Iraqis support us

Article Abstract:

The combat veterans from the US Army and Marine Corps have revealed that the US forces are successful in rebuilding Iraq and in winning the hearts and minds of the Iraqi people. These veterans disclosed their daily successes in Iraq in front of the House Armed Services Committee (HASC) in the wake of the scandals centered on the detainees in Abu Ghraib prison and elsewhere.

Comanche a justifiable sacrifice, Senate told

The U.S. Army has scrapped the RAH-66 Comanche helicopter program, shocking many supporters of the program. The Army has used the fact that it will save $14.6 billion through 2011, as a justification for scrapping the program.
