The ICAEW institute has issued the new interim guidance 'The ICAEW Assurance Service on unaudited financial statements' that would provide a practical framework for performing the service' developed a practical guide for companies to address the needs of audit-exempt companies.

The impact of the International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) on the chemical industries is discussed. Tolling arrangements, impairment testing at the date of transition and beyond, decommissioning costs start-up costs for processing facilities and hedging commodity risks are some of the key areas that are affected by the implementation of IFRS.
